Vision

What we will become
We are a united body of believers equipped and empowered to be in communion and fellowship with God and one another to build strong families, make disciples of many and quench the thirsts of the nations with Living Water.

Mission

What we do
Our goal is to teach and preach the gospel message to a lost and dying world in order to bring them into a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, provide restoration to the wounded, heal the hurting, and bring deliverance to the captive. To develop an active discipleship ministry with an emphasis on Evangelism, Prayer, Praise, and Worship. To train leaders whose ambition is to be a "refreshing spring of water, whose waters fail not." (Isaiah 58:11) This shall be accomplished by representing Christ in the Kingdom.
We are committed to developing an active discipleship ministry with an emphasis on Evangelism, Prayer, Praise, and Worship. We will train leaders whose ambition is to be a “refreshing spring of water, whose waters fail not.” (Isaiah 58:11). This shall be accomplished by representing Christ in the Kingdom.

Foundational Scriptures

Isaiah 58: 11,12
And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

Church History

Kingdom Ministries House of Prayer (KMHOP) was birthed through prayer, obedience, and divine calling. In the year 2000, following the passing of Pastor’s Spiritual Leader, Bishop William James, a prophetic word was released declaring that several elders were being prepared for pastoral leadership. Among them was Elder Gary L. Chance, who was released to evangelize rather than immediately pastor.

For several years, Evangelist Chance and his family traveled extensively, ministering across cities, states, and cultures. During a life-changing mission to the Caribbean in December 2003, God spoke directly to Bishop Chance through Isaiah 58:11–12, confirming his call to shepherd and establishing a ministry centered on restoration, prayer, and renewal. In obedience, he accepted the call to pastor.

KMHOP officially began with the Chance family as its first members. The name of the ministry is rooted in Scripture: Matthew 6:10, “Thy Kingdom come,” and Matthew 21:13, “My house shall be called a house of prayer.” Bible study first took place in the family home, where the foundation of prayer, discipleship, and fellowship was firmly established.

The ministry held its first official worship service on September 26, 2004, with Pastor Chance’s inaugural message titled “A Guided Tour to the End.” Over the years, KMHOP worshiped in several locations, never missing a service, as God faithfully provided space and direction.

On July 16, 2007, God opened the door for KMHOP to purchase its own church property in Hamilton, Ohio. Since then, the ministry has grown spiritually and structurally, remaining committed to prayer, teaching, fellowship, and building “the old waste places” according to Isaiah 58.

Today, KMHOP stands as a praying, waiting, resting, and trusting ministry—called to refresh lives and restore paths for generations to come.
